Changes to Events Policy: The Victoria Police Games Federation reserves the right to alter or make changes to the times, dates, locations, and event programming wherever and whenever necessary. Security: All Sports Co-ordinators are responsible for securing their venues and equipment against damage. Competitors are responsible for their own property. Also, and in consideration to the escalating threat of terrorism in Australia, a 'Security Strategy' was introduced at the Games for Sports Co-ordinators raising awareness about the need for increased vigilance when conducting sporting events in today's environment.

Placegetters who do not attend medal presentation ceremonies MUST arrange delivery of their medals through the Sport Co-ordinator. Perpetual Trophies must be returned immediately after presentation, for display at the Academy, and to prevent damage.

The Chief Commissioner's Trophy will be awarded to the region or department gaining the highest number of points combination of participation and bonus points. Entrants to the Games MUST nominate the region or department to which their points are to be awarded. Weighting points for members of other agencies will be allocated for the Inter-Services Trophy. Participation Points for the Chief Commissioner's Trophy will be awarded to all competitors for each event, and bonus points will be awarded to placegetters as follows: 1st 5 points , 2nd 3 points and 3rd 1 point.

Scratchings will automatically penalise the region or department the equivalent participation points. Withdrawals due to illness and injury will not attract a penalty. Weighting Factors Participation Points. Because of the great differences in the number of personnel attached to each Police region or department, a weighting factor will be employed to ensure that all regions and departments can compete on an equal basis.
