Akai dvps 760 manual

Im gunna go out on a limb and say it isn't compatible with burnt DVD's Try switching media, and see what happens. I second the question. What software burner etc. No coasters. Movies play fine on WinDVD. The Akai is another story. First it is media sensitive.

Verbatim DataLife -R could not be read. No disc error, it simply can't read them. Too bad I bought a small spindle at Sams club. Will use them for data backup. Now that the Akai can read the media it complains "Disk error". The dvd was mastered using Nero v6. Same result using Dvd Decrypter. At the moment I'm just cloning DVDs in the hope of determining a combination of media and software that works with the That includes the -R the Akai couldn't even read let alone play.

The would play the ones created by Ulead but never those created by Nero. Apparently it isn't the Nero burn which is the problem, it is the Nero data layout the doesn't like. Now it appears the has the same problem at least with Nero's DVD data layout. Does anyone have a recipe for success with the Akai ? A DVD layout or burn tool that works? I'm tired of burning DVDs I can't use.

Trial and all error is getting expensive. My hope is that a solution that works on the should work almost anywhere as my end goal is to share family movies with relatives.

Hi csb, it's intresting to hear that your akai doesn't even play dvd-r's. Do you have a change to burn a dvd-r on a different burner just to find out whether your burner is the problem?

Thanks SpiderMax, I've got it working now. I upgraded the s firmware and now it plays Nero burns perfectly. Details in the Player section. My player is still media sensitive, but the newer media is working.

Hi csb, can you please send me the link for the firmware upgrade? I am having the same issue with my Akai Can someone please post the link to the firmware upgrade or the email of someone at Akai that can provide it? I have tried without success to contact someone knowledgable at Akai. They all seem to be clueless and only provide support for their televisions! I keep you posted. Hello SpiderMax etc. The first flash I tried also failed. All I receive is the blue AV screen.

I cannot even receive any on screen display of any type. Does anyone know how to fix this issue or even effect a reset to factory settings???? Noting of course that I can get nothing except the blue AV screen!!! Help and thanks.
